Villagers stand still and never move or roam around. They do not trade either.

In a newly generated village all of the villagers stand still and do not move from their homes, even when pushed out manually and time set to midnight. When right clicked villagers cannot be traded with either. pictured is where the villager would stand constantly. They do still make sounds. When spawning a zombie the villager would stand there and get hit until turned into a zombie villager. Zombie villager did move when turned.
