Opening any option button in the option screen in the pause menu will change the difficulty from my choice to the default

Does it do that when you make a new world? Cause if you are you just need to make it to the difficulty of your choice.

Cannot reproduce. Can you provide steps to reproduce? Please include the series of buttons you are pressing that make the difficulty reset.
