Minecart Rails Bug

i was in minecraft in my usual survival maps. got a cave mine, made a spiral stairs to a big big mine, decided "ay i think i need to add a shortcut." so i added some rails (also some powered rails) with normal rails seem fine, but with powered (used by redstone torch) rails, it was a circle with pointing downwards, when i tried to get back to it, i went and tested it and then it kinda wiggled and then dismounted me and then i died of fall damage. idk if this is on purpose or not
