Cannot Eat Plantable Foods while Looking at a Block

You can not eat plantable foods while close enough to a block/partial block for it to be highlighted (ie looking at a block).

Carrots, potatoes, etc.

My guess is it is checking to see if it can plant (if it is farmland), but not skipping that when it is invalid and switching to eating.
