Random redstone lighting.

I've made two maps in minecraft and both of them had this glitch. Redstone at some places would randomly turn on so if I had it up to a command block that teleports it would teleport me constantly. I tried to turn up the amount of RAM that the server uses but it still has that problem. I even asked my friends if they had this problem on anything they have made they said they did also. This usually doesn't happen on single player it happens mainly on servers.
