The bug is that it is possible to start flying in the creative game mode without having to press the jump key twice. Just press the inventory key in correct sequence.
How to start flying by using inventory key:
hold down jump button and when in air, press inventory key
wait until player is on ground (still holding jump)
close the inventory and when the player is in air again, quickly press the inventory key twice (still holding jump)
If done correctly, You should be now flying without need to press the jump button twice.

Can reproduce in 1.14.2 Pre-Release 4
Seems to occur with any GUI screen that can be opened quickly, following the reproduction steps above (e.g. Menu, Advancements).

This also works with sprinting (doing the same thing than with flying instead of pressing W twice). What I think is happening is that when you leave the inventory, it thinks you stopped pressing that key while you were in the inventory and are now pressing it again, so it thinks it's a second input when it's technically the same input.
Can confirm in 1.19.4-rc2.
Affects all versions from 1.14-pre1 to 1.14.2-pre3
