Iron golem does not attack when villagers are hurt by the player but attacks when provoked.
Iron golem does not attack as long as 1.13 is concerned. Shouldn't iron golem attack when you hurt a villager and not himself?

Iron golems that spawned naturally in villages will attack the player if provoked. If a player creates an iron golem, the iron golem will never attack that player back.
MC-145730 is the issue about iron golems not attack if the villager is hurt.
