[MC-148389] The color of text on my friend's signs are different than mine (faded)

My friend and I both use the exact same texture pack, we don't have anything else downloaded, not even optifine or anything like that

As you can see they are completely different, hers are more faded than mine. I have no idea why. We have the exact same texture pack (the most recent update too).

I have tried placing the signs in different places (east west, north south) but it makes NO difference whatsoever.

I have tried changing the video settings, every possible setting. Also no difference.

Please help!

Are you taking the screenshot using F2? That looks like it was taken from a phone camera(where factors like brightness of both the game and monitor, plus the color calibration would affect it)

Ok I used f2 and found the screenshot from my minecraft folder, and told my friend to do the same.

Sorry my friend is not online so I can't ask her to send more screenshots, but today when I reopened my game, it started doing the same thing as her:

Yes but no, that post is different. It says their signs are only SOMETIMES faded.

Mine are now ALWAYS faded, no matter what directions the sign are.

Also this doesn't explain how I can fix it??

This is not the same post because in their post their signs are only working if the sign is facing a different direction. So marking this as "Duplicate" and "Resolved" without even responding to my post is really rude of you.

Anyway... I get that you won't fix it because black is readable so that's all that matters to you, but what about your creative playerbase? Think about what matters to them.

For anyone out there who wants to find a temporary fix: Download optifine, it fixes this. Also it helps boost your performance a lot! 🙂
