Hoping this is a bug and not a feature, even though it kinda makes sense, but movement speed while in "swim mode" outside of water (such as mining in a 1x1 tunnel) has been reduced to about the speed of walking while sneaking.

I think it can't be differentiated whether you are "swimming outside the water" or just "sneaking" in 1-tall hole. I definitely like dive-mining though, but I don't think it is possible to solve both MC-147755 and this one at the same time 🙂 Also, I still consider "dive-mining" somekind of a mechanics-abuse, though I like it, as I've said before 🙂 But on the other hand, there are many things in game, which were not intended initially, but which can certainly be called "features" and are not fixed on purpose.
