is it just me or is the new update making the game patchy

My minecraft game before downloading 1.14 was running just fine. However, after downloading 1.14, chunks won't load or take a while to load. I tried lowering render distance and minimizing particle effects as well as turning down graphics however the issue continued. I have screenshots attached. I just want to know if anyone else is having this problem or has had and fixed it.
