i expected to see a horse with horse armor and a horse saddle
What actually happened was, i was trying to play the latest snapshot. and i spawned a horse... i could not put the armor OR the saddle on!
Steps to Reproduce:
1. spawn/find a horse
2. try and put a horse saddle or horse armor on it
3. It will not work

Ride on them until you tame them, you can give him some specified items to increase the taming probability. More info at http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Horse look in the section taming, for the items, look for the food section in increases taming prob.
Horses need to be tamed before armor or saddles can be applied.
