when loading into a single player world, i get this screen for amount of 15 seconds, sometimes less, once loaded fps drops down to about 10 to 15 while rendering.

If so, please force a crash by pressing
F3 + Cfor 10 seconds while in-game and attach the crash report (minecraft/crash-reports/crash-<DATE>-client.txt) here.
