If you make a snow block out of snow layers below a top slab, you will be able to crawl between the snow block and the top slab, and you won't be able to if you try to crawl between a top slab and any other full block (cobblestone in the video example).

A snow block made out of snow layers is actually only 7/8 blocks high. It just looks as if it was a full block high, but it isn't. You basically "sink into" the block, similar to soul sand.
