The bug
The Vindicator can open the doors during a raid, which is not the case for the Pillagers (it is wanted for the Pillagers).
How to reproduce
Start a raid in a village and watch what the Vindicator(s) do.

Working as intended as per MC-139836:
Vindicators are able to break down doors on Hard difficulty, much like zombies can only break down doors on Hard difficulty. The other mobs are intentionally not able to break down the doors. The Vindicator AI may be a bit derpy, but they do choose sometimes to chop down doors

Pillagers shouldnt havebeen able to open doors. Thanks for ruining that. Only the vindicators and ravagers being able to destroy doors made sense and was cool. Now that they all can just open the doors to the village they are raiding. Ruins it entirely. Ya now my villagers who are programmed to run into their home during a raid are gonna get merced cuz as during a raid the pillagers ALWAYS spread out and NEVER all aggroo on just you. Especially if you have a mod ment to make them Bigger. Villagers are garanteed to be slaughtered and you to never get hero of the village. So thanks for this. Did you also complain about fireflys? I bet you did. People like are the reason these good features get removed.

I'm almost certain that this is intended. Pillagers used to be able to open doors, but that behaviour was reverted a few snapshots later; the behaviour for vindicators however remained unchanged.
