mobs not spawning after going to a village

When i go to a village on easy mode on minecraft and i stay there for long enough when night comes or i go into a mine i cannot find any mobs there are no torchs or light sources anywhere and this has happened atleast twice now i have tried looking for mobs at night but i have found none which is rare and is the first time i can not find any mobs in a night i think it has something to do with the new update or i may or glitched the game somehow as i went into a village once after killing a pilligar a while ago and the pillage raid didnt start until 2-5 minutes later and after i beat the pillage raid it started to seem to happen and mobs wouldnt spawn until i quit and reopened the game if you need any more information i can give it if needed
