So I got some shulkers full of (pretty much illegal lol) stacked stuff. Until 1.13.2 I could place them and looking in them and take/place other items and taking them back without any problems. With 1.14 if I place the shulkers in survival I can place them and look inside but if I take them back the content is kinda unstacked/broken in a weird way. Plus, if I place them in creative the name of the shulkers is missing after being taken back.
Thank you for listening!
P.S. items are being created using external programs.

I got them from the creative hotbar while in 1.14, they weren't placed before the conversion... If you do the same process in 1.13.2 that doesn't happen.
Also the other annoying thing is that shulkers if placed in creative and then mined don't keep their name...
I wish this will get normally fixed in a future 1.14.X update, I think it's not supposed to happen and even with the stacked items, the game should be able to keep NTB data such as the "count" tag and not messing with it even if they're not normally obtainable via normal gameplay.
Regards!
Do you have a backup of the world from an earlier version (preferably 1.13.2)? If so, please attach (or provide a download link of) the world here so we can reproduce the issue.
Yep I have it, I'll create a setup with some stacked shulkers soon. Also, the issue with the name is actually fixed in 1.14.2-pre2 so that's not a problem anymore but the other one is still a thing (if you place a shulker with stacked stuff like armor or similar and you pick it up in survival the shulkers' content gets messed up entirely). I'll work on it as soon as possible, thanks for listening it's very important for my normal gameplay style!
Right, here you go!
Also, read all the book 🙂
Cheers!
Hi there!
Can you reproduce in any of the latest releases? If so, please update the affected versions/add a comment to this ticket.
Forward-resolved towards MC-170536, which is about the same issue and has been resolved as "Works as Intended" by a developer.
Item stacks above the stack size limit are not supported.
Probably because these items aren't supposed to be stacked and something happened when converting the world. I doubt this is a bug on Mojang's side.
