Had auto hoppers set up. Took first furnace out, inserted blast furnace and it is not working. It has loaded with fuel (lava bucket) and blocks (netherrack) but is not processing. Placed a blast furnace down as a stand alone with stone and charcoal, and still no processing. Attempted to mount a lever on it to see if it needed power, still no. Tried various fuel sources, and no functionality observed.

Try looking on the wiki before you post a bug report. Blast furnaces are only meant for ores, nothing else will smelt in them. It's an intended game mechanic.
