I have found an issue with the TAB key as ''Inventory'', you're unable to close your inventory using the TAB key, due to the TAB key being used to highlight the recipe book, because of this you can only close your inventory with the ESC key. this issue was not present in earlier versions.

Same for me. WIN10 64 - Java. This issue has basically made the game unplayable for me since I've used TAB forever for inventory.
