Some Hebrew letters aren't included in the Minecraft font

The bug

With 1.14, Hebrew characters have been added to the Minecraft font. However, some letters didn't make the cut. Those letters are:

The shin, tav, and final kaf are definitely used. The geresh is also supposed to be used for some words such as "עץ ג׳ונגל" (Jungle Wood) to change the pronunciation of some letters, however the game (as well as many people) uses the apostrophe for this purpose. The gershayim is a special punctuation mark primarily for acronyms. I'm not sure where this comes up in game; quote marks are often used instead. The Yiddish ligatures are used in Yiddish but not in Hebrew (and may be written as separate letters anyway). The other symbols are not really used in modern Hebrew.

Thanks for that information! I've added it to the ticket. And it looks like 1.14.2-pre2 has added the Shin and Tav. However, the Final Kaf and all the other letters are still missing.

As of 1.14.2pre2 only the final kaf (ך) doesn't have a Minecraft font texture. This is most notable in the name for the stonecutter "חותך אבנים".

The punctuation and ligatures also don't have Minecraft font textures, however in my opinion these are not necessary.

EDIT: Seems like you updated the description. Looks good.

Confirmed to be fixed for all of the letters listed above except the Paseq; also the Yiddish Double Yod has an incorrect texture. If anyone cares about those, please create a new ticket for those issues. Seeing as those two letters are really rarely used, I resolved this ticket as Fixed.

Yep, there's an extra pixel coming from the maqaf, which isn't aligned properly in the spritesheet
