see the picture. Piston is not connected to anything (proof: redstone lamp) but is still extending everytime i place it there (i have recreated this multiple times, everytime same thing. also i restarted the game)

The issue described is not a bug and is working as intended. It is called quasi-connectivity and you can learn more about it here.
