Was playing around with pistons and put a piece of redstone on a piston that was on top of the other piston pressed a button and both the top and bottom pistons pushed out their blocks one in a faster tick. I moved away so i could copy it if i need it for future contraptions and in trying to copy it the bottom piston would no longer active on button press. Direction doesnt seem to matter just location even in the same chunk.

Same thing happens when you put a lever on the back side of a piston when it retracts it pops off. Found out when i made a blaze farm and put a piston in it to keep them from going back into the spawning chamber thats when i found this bug.

My issue wasnt the redstone popping off it was that the bottom piston was being powered in some locations and in other locations it wasnt.
