/playsound immediately followed by /stopsound doesn't stop the sound

How to reproduce:

  1. Place an impulse command block followed by a chain command block with the following two commands:

    playsound minecraft:music_disc.far master @a
stopsound @a master minecraft:music_disc.far

  2. Notice that the music is still playing

  3. The music can be stopped by running a stopsound command afterwards

    stopsound @a
