My problem is that whenever I try to take my cats out with me, if I walk nearby my house, they will try and go to the bed rather than following me.
The problem with my house is that it is elevated by a couple of blocks, kind of like the witches' huts, and my cats will walk underneath my house (to directly under where my bed is) and stand there. They do not move or teleport to me, no matter how far I go. They just stay there, directly under my bed, under my house.
To get them out I have to make them sit and nudge them out myself, which means I can never take my cats out with me unless I want to sit through that every time.
I have tried solving this problem myself, by putting fences down so that they cannot go under my house, but now they just stand right next to the fence instead, as close to my bed as possible.

Please check if that's still an issue in the latest 1.16 development snapshot. Currently that is 20w06a.

Wow, this might actually be explaining why my cat isn't teleporting to me or following me but instead just hangs around my house or the villager's house next door (it has slept in that villager's bed before).
