Realms server lag

My realms server has been laggy and suffering from rubberbanding for weeks at this point (even after renewing my subscription). This affects everyone on the server, all of whom have good gaming PCs, good internet connections, and are playing from NA + Europe, so the issue is clearly on the server's side. I doubt the server is being overloaded, as noone is doing any fast exploration, and the same issue persists when 2 people are on the server, quietly building their house.

The same issue existed in minecraft 1.13.2, before the pillager update, and I was hoping the issue would be fixed by now.
