Unable to pause game, type or place blocks in nether portal if it doesn't link. I got locked into a room with just a nether portal linking nowhere on a server and now i'm stuck as I can't type to teleport out.

Not duplicate? That one says it doesn't work as a portal, This says you can't even type or exit game when in it.
Duplicate of MC-2071, please use the search function to see if your bug has already been submitted. Currently over 57% of tickets are being closed as duplicate.
