The player gets completely stuck - cant move, jump, crouch or turn around. You can only break the block in front. Reloading the game doesnt help. Breaking the culprit trapdoor frees the player, but can only do that if you freeze with your cross-hair pointing at it.
I was able to recreate it while standing at the locations on the attached image. Just stand on the trapdoor and open/close it a few times and wiggle until it freezes the player. Maybe it help to have another trapdoor adjacent to the one being opened.

Entering the block where a door is of any kind, fence,wooden or trapdoor and opening/closing it will freeze the player in that spot completley...you cant even look around or anything.... if you are lucky and you are looking at the door ATM you can destroy it to free yourself....the other solution is to load an older version like 1.14.1 and move away then reload in the latest version.

In addition - you can get stuck in survival and creative mode. Only spectator mode allows you to get free. So it must be something to do with hitboxes.
