fast wandering traders

so i was in my survival and then i found a wandering trader so i went back to my home to get emeralds but then i found that one llama was gone and the wandering trader was super fast. i was so confused and also the lead was gone too from the remaining llama. later the wandering trader drowned and the other llama was normal.
