Logged into our hardcore 1.14.2 world on 1.8.9 by accident. There was no warning saying I was on 1.8.9, I logged in and the whole world had reset for 1.8.9. Then I went to 1.14.2 and everything was still reset.
Is there any way I can get the world back before it happened (it was reset around 3 hours ago)

There's nothing we can do about that. Older versions didn't have the warnings yet, and they cannot be added in retroactively.
If you created a backup of your world when updating to 1.14.2, you can use that to restore the progress to that point.
