Vanishing Villagers Interface

Villagers were from a previous version of the game, but had no issues before. When I try and open their trading interface it immediately closes. I can see for a split second what the trades are, but am unable to trade. On a creative world the interface works, and I am unsure if this works with villagers generated after the update on my survival world. If needed, I have a screen capture of the bug, but it was too large to include here.
