Armor UI disappears after teleporting though nether portal

When I travel nethers your armor stats disappear and unless you open your inventory to check if you have armor on then you are left in the dark to your armor stats.

You can temp fix this by removing and then re-equipting your armor

I am in survival mode on my realm server.
