Cant plant seeds

When i was playing singelplayer.I couldnt place seeds on some spots.Half of may farm was emty

Please describe this issue more. Is there a way to reproduce this in a general case, or is it specific to that world(if so can you post it)?

Also attach screenshots if possible. Note that there must be sufficient lighting for seeds to be planted properly.
