When drawing a newly-crafted bow for the first time, the animation doesn't activate.

I was building a shooting range in my creative superflat world, and decided NOT to use crossbows for it (if you were wondering if crossbows did the same thing). When I had my friend test the shooting range, he told me there was something weird about the drawing animation when he first drew the bow. It doesn't affect how the bow fires, but it does look a little disturbing to some people. I had a screenshot but for some reason I cant find it...
