I was attempting to move some of my armour stands when I was hurt by the thorns enchantment but the armour stand also made a noise almost in pain as I was trying to hit it.
I'm sure its not a major bug but is it intended for the thorns enchant to work and for it to make a damaging noise??

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-135963, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved. Depending on the resolution, that can mean that it either will be fixed in the next version, or that it is not considered a bug and won't be fixed.
