Snow Golem spawn updating upwards and diagonally upwards

When placing a pumpkin or jack o lantern in the positions shown, with any block diagonal from the golem configuration, the snow golem is created. No other blocks create the snow golem, and recreating this mirrored upside down, the snow golem also does not spawn.
