my mending villager wont re-stock and it has sleeped and has clear access to the lectern .also when i hover over the arrow it wont say "villagers r-stock up to 2 times per day" like it normally does

Villagers only restock during a certain time period in the day. Wait a full Minecraft day and check whether it has restocked.
