Minecraft window freezes when trying to maximise or restore it while the game is loading

The bug

The Minecraft window can freeze by maximising or restoring it while the game is loading.

To reproduce

1. Start Minecraft

2. While the game is loading and the "Mojang" screen is displayed, maximise and restore the game window repeatedly
   → ❌ At some point, the window will freeze, meaning that its content will no longer update, and when clicking onto the window, Windows will bleach out the window and offer a dialog to kill Minecraft.

Original description

Sometimes while i boot up minecraft during the white Mojang loading screen it freezes. This sometimes happens while i am maximising the window size, basically the game starts, i maximise the size, but the actual loading screen doesnt get larger there are just black borders around the old size and it will proceed to freeze. When i shut it down it with task manager it often repeats this a few times when i try and reboot the game. 

This can be a fairly annoying issue that isnt major but just something to probably patch in the future.
