Okay so this happend a few days ago and this is the only time its happend to me during the four years of playing, I tried download forge and optifine the other day and I gave up because it wasn't working. So i went to go play vanilla minecraft after giving up and I pressed start on the launcher and everything was fine until it was showing the loading page with the little bar and Mojang on top of it. The bar got about half way and then stopped. It didn't go up or down and just stopped. I left clicked and it crashed the whole game. I've found a way to log into minecraft but opening the task manager and finding the launcher and ending the task while is was loading and I can keep doing this but i'd rather not because its kind of hard to end the task at the right time before it goes to the loading stage where you can't alt + tab out. I tried looking up videos about this issue but I only found a video of ending the task to fix it but that won't work permanetly. I don't know what to do because I really like this game and don't want to stop playing it. Please help.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MCL-6550, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved. Depending on the resolution, that can mean that it either will be fixed in the next version, or that it is not considered a bug and won't be fixed.
If you haven't already, you might like to make use of the search feature in the future to see if the issue has already been reported.
