Fatal Error Causes MC to Crash

I'll attempt to describe exactly what went wrong and the steps leading up to it.
I was also on a server, if that means anything.

I was in the nether.
I went through a nether portal that leads into an overworld portal that is inside a stronghold.
Before I can even move, the game hangs, then crashes with an output to the terminal.

The game does render the stronghold's environment, but no more.
I attached the terminal output and the error report from the JVM.
