I had two trader llamas disappear from inside a pen I made for them. They have been there since shortly after 1.14.0 was released. Relogging or restarting the game did not fix it (they weren't just invisible). The pen crosses one chunk border and is one block away from another one (see photo).
An hour or so later, the other two in the pen disappeared as well. I know initially there was some sense of a taming mechanic, has this been scrapped?

Note: I always search before making tickets. I used a handful of different keywords, and did not find the other ticket.
I may be misremembering, but wasn't one of the features that we could tame the trader llamas to use ourselves? (I don't think it was the same taming system as normal llamas, but I think there was something). Do they despawn only if you haven't tamed them?
Additionally, I had these llamas in my world for hours and hours, and then they disappeared. The other ticket implies it's around an hour despawn.

We're actually already tracking this issue in MC-156530, so I resolved and linked this ticket as a duplicate.
However, that ticket has already been resolved. Depending on the resolution, that can mean that it either will be fixed in the next version, or that it is not considered a bug and won't be fixed.
If you haven't already, you might like to make use of the search feature in the future to see if the issue has already been reported.
