invalid chat component: Use JsonReader.setLenient(true) to accept malformed JSON at line 1 column 1 path $... subtitle

So I'm trying to create some titles and subtitles for my minecraft server but it's not letting me create/ assign titles and would really like some help on how to do so. I've tried typing in the command but I don't understand what i need to write. I'm pretty sure it starts with:

/title OGFaultywharf title {"Elf":

I want to create a title "Elf" and assign it to myself. Please help 🙂
