Redstone activating piston through block

Why redstone block activate piston without any contact? Maybe that's are part of features. But, i think that not correct. To fix it (probably) need reduce radius of redstone block. Again, maybe that's are part of features. But i don't know. (p.s. if you know about this, please, comment)
