Glass block is transformed into an earth block.

This to me looks like a combination of lag, and the pick block key. My guess is that he accidentally middle-clicked at the same time he right-clicked to place the block. That would have swapped the glass with dirt in his inventory (notice the stack switches). The game client and server seem to have registered it differently, causing the appearance of it transforming.
