Trident Dies after getting stuck in block and blown up

Ok so I was in a survival server and I was playing with my channeling loyalty trident, and I eventually stuck it in a block, but while I was going to pick it up, a creeper blew up me causing me to die, respawning very far away. I went back (using a warp plugin) to the spot where I died and the trident was nowhere to be found. I tried relogging and that didn't fix it.

Any ideas?
