I was making a race track in a superflat world, trying to figure out the best way to do it without mods. But when I drove my boat off the edge of the blue ice (could probably recreate with other blocks), I got out to find myself standing on an invisible boat while the model replayed my ride. I did some testing and found it happens consistently if I wait a second after getting in and a second before getting out.
