Witches Don't Spawn In Huts (Dark and Hard mode)

MC-880 has been closed without resolving the problem. Why?

Witch spawning ratio seems to be too low, and hence the problems with witches. Actually, I visited three witches huts many times and even stay for the night in a cabin nearby. The huts are generated entirely on swampland so valid for witch spawning. I saw many zombies and skeletons but not a single witch.

The possible solution would be to make the spawning ratio of the witch higher than presently, at least for the first witch present in the hut. It should be more likely to spawn than any other mob as witches huts are rare. It would be even nice if the player meets a witch always in the hut when on hard. Which is more, there is no reason for witch to despawn (if only not on peaceful). Witch huts should not be empty...

You should build a proper witch farm before complaining about the spawn rates. They are spawning like crazy in those, eliminating the need of gathering redstone, glowstone and gunpowder entirely. If anything witch spawn rates should be lowered.
