Randomly, have managed to reproduce. I was trying to mess with playing music discs in a creative world.
I had placed a music disc into a jukebox to test the sound it makes. It was playing, and I went to options and turned sound up from ~44% to 100%. I noticed the music disc didnt actually increase in volume. So i popped the disc out and put another in. The volume was now increased. I randomly popped it out again and put in another, and got the crash. Will try and replicate again now.
Edit: Now that world is corrupt and throws the error on joining. Will upload.
Let me know if that doesn't work.
I have the same problem, I found out it is particles generated when the iron golem walks that makes the game crash. Can you confirm ?
I have 2 golems near where I logged off, so everytime I join the server the client crashes. So I guess it's the golem,
Confirmed; client crashed as Iron Golem approached. Traceback was identical to the one posted. Samuel's work-around (thanks!) allowed me to continue in the same world.
