chunk moved places

i just joined my own single player world and in my little town i have a clock tower but i looked over at it and a whole side of the tower and  the chunk it was in has moved across about 50 blocks to another chunk and that one has moved over to the tower. i didn't do anything to the world i just logged in and i don't know what to do. I've reloaded the world but nothing changes.
