So im doing a no moving hardcore challenge, so i checked to make sure i haven't moved a block and it said i moved 14m and then i looked it up and it said that when a animal pushes you it counts so i was like okay, but then like 3 minutes later i went and checked it and it went up even tho i was underground boat traveling.

Iirc, the movement statistic tracks how far the player has moved, you are looking for the "Distance Walked" and "Distance Sprinted" statistic.
