If I enter %appdata% in .minecraft it appears in the saves folder as I have a minecraft map, and when I enter minecraft> singleplayer it doesn't show me the map, on any version I would have entered.

It would probably help if you opened the folder and took a screenshot of that too, because there might just be something missing inside the folder.
