Tried to open a creative world that contained an externally edited horse spawner.
Game crashed. It would be my guess that this has something to do with properties being moved over to the attributes system, but that's a largely undereducated guess.

You edited the mobspawner in a wrong way somehow. It doesn't know what to spawn, there's no entityId.
My world also crashes when i make a Horse Spawner and load my world up. I'm using MCEdit to create the spawner. If i make a Creeper spawner, it works. Replace the same spawner with "EntityHorse" as the id and it crashes.
Yeah, I had the same issue, and was lead here saying it was a duplicate of this. But I clearly demonstrated that even with a backup Id tag it will crash. You can get a horse spawner to work though: as long as it has no SpawnData or SpawnPotentials tags.

This is not quite fixed, i have made a custom spawner and now that apr tof the map is un-usable and crashes the game client in 1.7.2 everytime it loads that chunk, outside othat chunk all works perfectly fine. Crash report for this can be read at http://pastebin.com/54gZxkiQ
